As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Why No News About my Boxing Training... Thursday, October 29

I haven't boxed since last Friday.

Correction, I haven't boxed at my boxing club since last Friday.  I have boxed at System.

I took this past week off of boxing on account of two main reasons -- I have to figure out things with my sponsors and I'm injured.  I didn't want to write at the start of the week that I was taking the week off because I didn't know I would be and plus I figured sponsors wouldn't be happy.

I was punch drunk days long after last week's 12 rounds of sparring.

I don't yet have my health card so I couldn't exactly go to the doctor's office to get checked out.  Just to get an appointment and walk into the doctor's office would cost me $60 and that's before any kind of head scans or prescriptions get made.

I'm a starving athlete.

I'm a starving athlete and this week I was also an injured athlete.
