As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Painful Day... Monday, November 23

Afternoon HIIT sprint work with Double J at System.
Perk 101 of having a workout partner for workouts like this is knowing you're not the only one who feels like they're going through hell during it.  This is a rough, rough workout and nothing says it rough quite like puking a bit after it... twice.
Later in the evening I met up with one of my buddies, a trainer at System who is heading off to Africa.  He leaves tomorrow.  For the next two years he'll be on an adventure called Crossing Africa and as excited and as proud as I am for him, I am also nervous and apprehensive about it all.
I ended up getting rather teary-eyed saying good bye to him and so our goodbye hug turned into multiple goodbye hugs as I tried to hid my tears in his arms.  And then I watched him walk out.  A part of me wanting to run out the door for one more hug but now I'll wait till he walks back in the door, till he's done his adventure.
