As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Going Out of 2015 Strong and Big

Kicked off the very last day of 2015 with an intense Open Box class with some of my more advanced boxers.  I am always amazed at just how much energy they bring to early morning training; it's pretty awesome.
After I finished my own last workout for 2015, up at System, what should happen but I walk outside and run right into my cousin and his pretty wife.  It was a pretty awesome surprise and I'm always up for warm hugs and smiles.
Then it was time to get dolled up for New Year's Eve.
I headed to church; attended service and gave my friends all hugs.
After the service my church hosted a New Year's Eve social so I attended that.
I sat with some of my girls and giggled the evening away with them.
The church had asked for all attending to bring some food and wow, talk about an overdose of food!!! It was quite the calorie-overdose social but it was amazing.
We all managed to somehow pack into the basement, all nice and snug.
I figured that with it being the last day of the year that I would go out with a bang.
Loaded up on the carbs because God knows I am a carb-a-holic!
Okay... so I went a little excessive with the dessert but I argue I wasn't the only one who went excessive nor was this plate of dangerously delish calories just for me.
After I left church I went home.  I didn't have any set New Years plans.
I had been asked by numerous friends to join them but I kind of just wanted to celebrate it alone and do my own thing.
Out of pure curiosity I headed down to Nathan Phillip Square.
It was absolutely infested with people and the last time I had seen anything like this was when the Blue Jays won the World Series back to back.
