As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Spoiled by my Barber Shop Boy... Tuesday, December 29

Sparring got super bloody today and Coach Brown had to step into the ring at one point to wipe down the middle of the ring... woozers.
Exhausted from 8 rounds of sparring but still enough energy to joke around.
And thankfully a little extra energy left from it all to clean up the blood.
Yesterday it had snowed and I was all too happy to prance around in it.  Winter in Canada for me includes snow and having a snowless Christmas just didn't cut it so I was happy to see Mother Nature had brought us a ton of snow.
I never was a big fan of snow, a snow bunny, until I moved to Korea and it just wasn't really an option.  We don't get snow there like Canada but this year it's been a brown winter.  I had bought my massive winter coat and big girl boots way back in November so it was nice to throw them on and walk around in the winter wonderland.
I had a hair appointment at my buddy's barber shop -- he works at not only the one across from my boxing club but also one downtown.  He gave me the address so I headed his way.  It was a basement door so I was quick to label it a ghetto hole in the wall but when I walked in it was nothing like what I had expected.

32 dudes and one chick -- little Polish me.

My buddy working his magic on my head.
I let him do some funky scratches in my hair so of course I had to snap some pics.
Now I know why all my male friends go to the barber shop so frequently.
I love getting my buzzed side cleaned up and they spoil me there!
