As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Trying to Keep Routine... Monday, December 28

I look not impressed, right?!  Right.  But I was definitely impressed when I saw just who showed up for morning training and just how hard they trained.
The club is on holiday hours which means it's only open for the random few classes and personal training sessions that us coaches have agreed to have.  Technically the club is closed and, because I really want to keep my regular routine with training and don't have anything else I rather do (hmm... Koreanized workaholic right here!!!), I loaded up my schedule with extra classes.
In the late afternoon I headed up to System for boxing and weight training.
Slowly but surely our crew of fighters is getting stronger, better, and higher in numbers.
Upon finishing training, this greeted us at the front door -- snow!
I had to head downtown to pick up something so I enjoyed some of the snow.
Check out what's behind me!
I don't think the guy in this fancy car was enjoying though.
Time to get out the winter beater!
