As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Night Out Turns into A Good Conversation... Saturday, January 16

With the exception of the other week when I spontaneously went out with Kick Kat for an hour, I haven't been to a club in two months.

Tonight I went out -- tonight we, a group of my friends, boxers, and training buddies, went out.

We went to Everleigh.

I didn't know what to wear so I took several pictures of various outfits and messaged them to a friend, asking him for his pick on what I should wear.  I'm not very experienced with make-up beyond slapping some foundation on my face and doing my lashes so I watched some You Tube videos on how to do proper eye shadow techniques.  I always feel like every other girl has mastered how to do a picture perfect smokey eye and I'm over here looking like a 5 year old who so mischievously dipped her inexperienced fingers in her mom's make-up cabinet.

Turns out I have "hooded eyes", interesting to note.  Definitely explained why my make-up doesn't look the same on me as it does on those gals on Pinterest.

I wouldn't say I've mastered a smokey eye but I definitely mastered believing that I had... hahaha.  So with my smokey eyes, face full of more make-up on than I'd ever normally wear, and sporting a dress that looked more like body paint than an actual dress, I strutted out of my apartment and headed downtown to meet up with my friends.

A night out on the town is always joined by a morning of good eats and tonight was no different.  After we left the club My Boy J and I split from the group and headed out in search of some food; a place to get deep into conversation.  I didn't go to my usual post party breakfast place but instead opted for a good old slice of pizza loaded with olives, feta cheese and roasted red peppers, and a blob of ketchup on the side for dipping.

Yes, I dip my pizza in ketchup.
