As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Wicked Wednesday

Sparring with Queen Spar on a chilly Wednesday.
Now there's a sure wicked way to get warmed up while it's snowing outside... woozers!!!
Queen Spar and Cabbagetown Boxing are hosting a charity fun run on Sunday, March 13th for the Cabbagetown Community Centre and my boxing club is definitely going to join in and help out.  Am putting together a team to run it and we're even getting shirts made up specifically for it.  It's going to be awesome.

I saw the following two signs flash before me on a neighboring church I walk by everyday after boxing and I just had to take snap shots of them.
Read the signs:
Marriage preparation, February 18.
Divorce Care, January 26.
Shouldn't the "Marriage Preparation" come before the "Divorce Care" or is that just me being pessimistic about the whole thing?!
The other day someone was incredibly sweet in cooking me a homemade salmon meal.
Yesterday I bought salmon and tried to do the same -- no such luck.

The kind of burnt the salmon a bit but I'm a starving athlete so I'll eat it if it's hungry and if it cost me money, that's the truth.  It wasn't too bad actually.
My mid afternoon snack... I love these.
The cute Korean man at the store down the street giggles whenever I come in to buy these.  They're dark chocolate covered acai and blueberries.  There's only a small handful worth and they only cost me fifty cents but they're satisfy my sweet tooth craving.
Had to drop by the police head quarters today to deal with some admin stuff needed for a volunteering position I am super eager to start.  I'm way behind in filing it, dang.
Headed off to System to work the heavy bags and get in a grueling leg workout.
I'm warming up here on a spinning bike.  My tush only lasts about 5 minutes on these things though; they're brutal!!!
Heading home after a long day of training and multiple errands.
