As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Going for a Change... Thursday, January 7

I'm itching to change my image -- my look that so easily has me misunderstood as a rebel.  Tell someone I have a half shaved head, platinum blonde hair, tattoos, and am a pro fighter and instantly they have labelled me as being some kind of bad girl.  I could have piercings, beyond my ears that is.  Perhaps that's the only next available step towards being a full out rebel.

"...but I go to church!", always seems to be my go-to line when people treat me as such, as a rebel.

I want to change my image.
I want to still look like I have edge and attitude but perhaps not so much.

I'm going to dye my hair.  Return it to it's good girl, sandy brown self.

It's the shaved head that's weird, not the hair color.
