As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Off to a Slow Start... Saturday, January 2

We're back to regular routine hours at the boxing club, at System, and at life in general.  The holidays are behind us and I for one am all too happy for this fact.  The next holiday I'll have to deal with isn't till February -- Valentine's Day -- but that's a one day thing that doesn't disrupt store hours, jeopardize my training schedule, and throw my daily routine on the shelf.

I am still very much Koreanized, I know it and I feel it when there are holidays.  I complain about the time off and the disrupt to my schedule.

I've yet to become re-Canadianized.

I've yet to write out my new year resolutions.

Good start to 2016 Amy, good start.  I know... hahaha.
