As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Searching Out and Putting on the Positive

I'm not really into horoscopes beyond reading them out of curiosity and for amusement but this was mine for today and it definitely was in line with what I've been working on.
Had this gorgeous gal return to my classes after being MIA for months.
"Be strong", some days it's harder to do than others so, on days when it is, I throw on a tank top that reads some kind of affirmation and head out to training.
Sometimes it's not what I wear that pushes me through my training but those whom I surround myself with, like this big guy.  This is Mr.T, as in Minister T.
Mr. T is one of those people that just oozes with positivity.  He's probably one of the very rare people you'll see loving their cardio and singing tunes while doing it.  On days that are longer than others and harder than most, I know if I train late I have a 9 out of 10 chance of running into him and catching some of his positive vibes.
Tonight was one of those nights.
