As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Sunday Friendly Feasting

It was a chilly Sunday but I had nothing but warm smiles for coffee time with Ginger Spice.  I may not train on Sundays but I definitely don't mind sitting across from my gym and watching members entering and exiting.

Look at this; it's a beautiful thing!!!
Korea wasn't into sandwiches so I am loving being back in the great white north eating them up and indulging in them.  This sandwich was from Bread & Roses, a super delish little shop right in Bloor West Village.
I showed up for coffee time with my loaded sandwich and a very tempting double chocolate cupcake for Ginger Spice.
I feel like I am rediscovering western food all over again and all these random treasure spots around Toronto that sell the most delish of delish goods, like Wellsley station.  The lady that runs the little station store sells banana bread that her mom bakes and it's so soft, so good.  I don't buy it often from her but she knows that whenever I go to that station it's only to buy a piece of her bread.
