As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Trying to Look Gangsta but Having too Much Fun

My days are always packed with positive, fitness-minded people and so it's no wonder I smile a lot but today I tried to snap some gangsta shots with some of them.

Okay, so I'm not so tough looking here.  I was laughing at how serious he got for the shot.  This guy is always so sweet on me at the boxing club -- kissing me hello, hugging me goodbye, and always yelling a random Korean nickname at me that I've labelled him with (which he apparently loves).
Here's me with the front desk girl who just today when I tried to tell her to close her ears when the guys were talking typical boxing club boy talk she looked at me and said "I'm not as innocent as you think"... hahaha.  Nice.  She's super cute and apparently not as innocent as I thought.
This fierce female is a fellow boxer and one of my fellow boxing coach coworkers.
Even after a full workout and her tough girl face on she's still drop dead gorgeous!
Now this guy, he's the Stinky Polack.  This isn't a face he particularly did for the camera.
This is he usual I'm-going-to-punch-you-if-you-don't-be-quiet-and-train face.
I snapped this picture at System after one of my buddies threw on my Hulk gloves and tried to tease me while I warmed up on the spinning room.  No gangsta look from him but I tried to make up for it with my squished up gangsta face.
