As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Day Date with my Nephew

This is how my day started, me sitting around with the Stinky Polack
after coaching my early morning Boxfit class.
Yes, my socks don't match, I know.
Ever since Pancake Tuesday at Sunset Grill, I don't know what I like better -- ice cream or pancakes -- so I wear one sock of each.
Then my day got all that more interesting when I went to pick up this little man -- my nephew.  His brother is at Sick Kids today for appointments so I took him for the day and I kicked off our time together with his first ever subway ride.  He loved it!!!
He had asked where I worked so I took him to the boxing club.
I told him he could try on some of the gloves but he seemed too nervous to do so.
It was super cute to see just how sweet everyone was to my nephew.
They all greeted him with smiles and chatted with him.
Best part of our day together was our hot chocolate date.
I bought him hot chocolate at Timmies but ended up buying coffee at Starbucks and chilling there together in a big over-sized couch.
