As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

An Evening of Fine Dining... Saturday, February 6

I was treated out tonight to a most beautiful dinner, to a place I have never been to.  It was a gorgeous piano bar restaurant located in a very trendy, upscale part of town.  I should have known based on the location of the place that I should have dressed differently.  I'm almost always in training gear so my black tight pants and v-neck shirt was rather dressed up according to my usual wear.  Perhaps I should have worn a skirt.

Winterlicious is running here in Toronto and this means that many restaurants have jumped in on the action, offering discounted dishes and menu options.  The list of restaurants participating in this is impressive and long which means it's also hard and challenging to pick which one to go to.  We basically scrolled through the list and stopped the scroll feature at a random letter.

It stopped at the letter "s" and Salute was at the top of the s-list.

The restaurant was fairly small but it oozed of cozy luxury and high class taste -- the sparkly, over-sized chandeliers, dark hardwood floors, and spotless white chair cushions.  At the front of the restaurant was a sweet baby grand piano and soon after we arrived came a pianist who sat down at it and began to play it as he sang some classics.

It was such a beautiful night out and after the ciaos of all that's gone down, the overload of training and demands of having to juggle coaching and whatnot this week, tonight was exactly what this poor, over trained athlete needed!!!

are you seeing somebody? Seems like the most logical thing, but wondering if you would tell your readers if you did
