Friday morning sparring, because it's been too long since we had an all-out, intense Friday morning sparring session. Unlike Wednesday morning sparring, Friday's sparring consists of more rounds and there are no restrictions or whatnot on the rounds.
My hard work with sparring was rewarded with a breakfast made for a champion.
Got my hair did and then headed out of town for Papa Bere's birthday.
Arrived at my father's house, where I grew up, and my nose was bombarded by the smell of these -- so-perfectly made, homemade Polish cabbage rolls!!!
Both my brothers were in attendance as well as my oldest brother's wife and girls.
It was a packed house for Papa Bere's birthday and it was fabulous.
Turns out my little niece is quite into making deals. My brother Bobby-B told her if she ate the pineapple she had taken off her pizza he'd give her the change from his pocket.
She ate every single last piece and now he's got no more coins in his pocket.
A birthday cake was replaced by birthday cupcakes and we all sang to him.
My little nieces had each made individual birthday cards for him; super cute!
My girls and me... love, love, LOOOOOVE them to pieces!!!
I didn't see my nieces for Christmas, Christmas hit me funny and hit me hard, so tonight I gave them their Christmas presents. I know they have quite the crazy stock of toys so I decided to get them something that was different -- books. But they're not just any books.
The oldest one got a three year diary that has a question of the day for her to answer, the middle one got a doodle a day book, and the youngest got a colouring book that she can colour a page a day.
It's been about 4 years since we all have been in this house together
so of course I had to snap a family picture.
...and of course we had to snap a silly one together too.
