As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Celebrating the Asian Holiday in Canada

Happy White Day!!!
Well, it's White Day for Koreans, apparently for Japanese too
...and for us "honorary Asians", like me.
It's White Day in Asia but Pie Day here in Canada... I celebrated both!
Here's some White Day vocab for you to learn... hahaha.
And here's a simple explanation as to what White Day is.
It's basically Valentine's Day for us ladies because Valentine's Day
is considered a day for the guys only.
I received a special and most unexpected White Day gift today.
A certain special someone surprised me today by showing up at my house with chocolates.
I also got a sweet special gift from my buddies, the Pie Guys.
They gave me two pies -- chicken mushroom with broccoli and an egg and bacon pie.
Got another sweet gift today, a drive home from one of the guys the boxing club I train late nights at.  It's about a 40min to 1hr public transist commute to my club out in the east so a drive home is definitely something to be super happy about!!!
