As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

From a Fabulously Loaded Breakfast to Fabulous Fight Club

My ghetto fabulous breakfast -- egg whites and oatmeal with blueberries, a banana, and a strong morning coffee made with my improvised coffee maker because for some reason my machine hasn't worked from day one.
Nothing ghetto about this sparring partner; she's all fabulous!
Twelve rounds done and I was totally done!
Gathered up some energy from the ring floor and stood up for a post sparring pic.
My face post sparring -- my eyes starting to swell up a bit but check out my forehead!
That was from a shoulder, a few times with the same shoulder.
The mark on my forehead only got redder as the day went on, up until about noon, and then I tried to cover it up with some foundation.  No such luck, you could still see it.
But despite the injuries in today's morning sparring, the show goes on
and off to Cabbagetown Boxing for tonight's Fight Club I went.
The place was buzzing with fierce females.  How could I not participate?! Exactly.
It was pretty cool to see some of the fighters from last week's Rumble 6 at the Adelaide Club come out tonight.  I hope they become regulars because we can never have too many fierce female fighters to train with!
