As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

I Will Work for Food, it's True

An unexpected gift from one of my boxers.  It was really unnecessary, I love coaching the crew that I have at PBB, but it definitely served as a reminder to put my passion into what I'm doing because those involved are appreciative.
Speaking of appreciative, I am definitely appreciative of Starbucks and their double long espressos... hahaha.  Today was definitely one of those days when I needed on because I wasn't able to get in my third meal before boxing.  I was stuck on the subway.
I ended up not having boxing today and to tell you the truth I don't know if I could have gone hardcore like expected and anticipated because I was starving.
Discovered a grocery store by The Shop and treated myself to a meal out.
I think it was a Loblaws, not sure, but it was massive and my tired body definitely appreciated the oversized windows and the precooked foods.
Picking what specifically I wanted to eat though, well, that was hard.
It was a sensory overload for me the starving athlete who pretty much eats her
own body weight in food on a daily bases.
This is what I ended up picking -- a broccoli salad that had cranberries and various nuts in it and one massive turkey meatball in tomato sauce.  It was delish!!!
