As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Refuel and Possible New Fuel... Thursday, March 17

My roommate saw me do two things tonight that she never thought she would...
1.  I ate half a medium pizza.
2.  I drank a beer.
I try to stick to my clean eating ways and beer, well, it's definitely NOT in line with clean eating and I don't drink.  The pizza sat heavy on my tummy while the beer left me sitting in my seat trying not to burb too loud or too many times...nasty.

And while the pizza and beer mingled around in my tummy and reminded why I never have really indulged in either of the two, I got a private inbox message regarding a possible boxing sponsor, from a food company ironically enough.
Hi there....I just started my own business selling homemade healthy food for athletes and any sport enthusiasts that are on a rigorous diet. I would like you to try my food and if you like it could you become our image in our marketing campaign? Let me know what you think. Thanks!
Let me know what I think?! I think this is nothing short of out-of-this-world fabulous!!!  And it really couldn't have come at a better time because once I stop coaching at PBB I'm really going to be the walking, talking, textbook example of what it means to be a starving athlete. Money is going to be tight...t-i-g-h-t.  A good portion of my money right now goes to food -- food is fuel and I require a lot of fuel for the training I am doing.

I emailed the company back and we setup a date to meet up to talk about their business proposal.  I meet with them next Tuesday and I'm stoked!
