As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Running off the Sugary Sweetness of Easter

...and this is how Easter started...
I had noted a warning on Facebook yesterday, stating that today would be Easter and that I'd be highly anticipating some Cadbury chocolate caramel eggs.  Well, I got some eggs.  I got a lot of eggs actually and it started off with a personal delivery of a bag of them.
I love holidays.  I love celebrating them and I love that Canada celebrates them so despite being a poor, starving athlete, I splurged and spent a chunk of what's left of my money on Cadbury chocolate caramel Easter eggs for many of my friends at System.
Note the Vietnamese cutie sitting there watching his buddy train, he's got an egg in hand.
Guilty... training and eating.  Nice.
In the evening I headed out for a run.  I was unsure as whether to go because it was already so dark out so I gave my roommate a heads up and left.  I told her, "I'll be back in an hour to hour and a half", and then left.  I returned almost 2 hours later and came home to a worried roomie and a text message from her on my phone that I thought was super sweet.
Mission completed -- one solid run.  I killed it.
My goal is to get back into running now that the nicer weather is upon us and the pressure to steer away from weights and up my cardio is on.  I'd like to clock in 35-40kms a week
-- three shorter runs, about 7kms, and one weekly long run.
