As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Train Hard or Go Home... Monday, March 28

For the past week or so, training with Coach Perez and our team here means leaving the club with blood on you.  Nothing like having to wipe down the entire ring and each other before you head out after training.
Note to self, don't wear white anymore to training because I've got blood on the front pocket and you can see that when you train in white.
Coach Perez ended up having to change his shirt because it got so bloody.  I laughed when I noted the Korean on his shirt, it's from The Shop, but I won't translate it.
I felt I was all over the place during today's sparring so it was nice to get a text from Coach Perez, telling me good job.  The text that followed cracked me up.
I get it, I get it.  Stop lifting so heavy, it's making me slow in the ring.
Afternoon boxing at Hardknocks Boxing Club was then followed by evening team training boxing at Clancy's Boxing Academy.  And training ended with hugs with Leo.
He's the four-legged cutie of the manager here and a much loved friend of everyone.
His fur colour is absolutely gorgeous and I definitely look forward to introducing Leo to my handsome little Balboa.  They're going to be Besties.
