As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Wonder Woman-To-Be, Possibly... Tuesday, April 4

I met Wonder Woman!!!...again actually.

Say what you want but I've never seen Wonder Woman and her in the same room so she must be the real deal...hahaha.  All jokes aside, I did meet someone who has made a career out of playing a super heroine and hiring other superheroes.  I answered an ad titled "Do you Want to be a Superhero" and then was asked to come out to an audition.

Today was my audition.

I showed up, was super smiley, thinking positive, and curious about the position but when I realized I had met this lady prior to the audition I instantly went into giggle mode.  She had shown up at the System Fitness customer appreciation party in the winter, in full costume as Wonder Woman.  I met Superman there but when I heard that Wonder Woman was up in the kids daycare, being held captive by all the mini-Canadians and their over curiosity with her, I walked right up stairs and into the daycare.

So yes, I met Wonder Woman and then I met her again today for an audition.

The audition wasn't exactly an audition but instead a job interview.  Funny thing is I scored the position and posted a status update on Facebook referring it.  So many people liked my status update despite not knowing what it really meant.

This was my status update:
I am officially Toronto's new Wonder Woman ....seriously, I got hired to be Wonder Woman...no jokes.  My tiara is going to be extra magical.
Close to 100 people on my Facebook liked it.

It's a job, not an acting role like I think many assumed, none the less though there is most definitely a lot of acting in it.  There is a script, a costume, and certainly a character to be played.  It's the role of Wonder Woman at private functions, like kids' parties and corporate functions.  The position is basically only a part-time weekend thing, requiring 1-3 hours depending on if the client wants a meet-and-greet or whatnot.  It's a sweet gig though and I personally think it'd a super fun gig -- playing a cartoon super heroine for what will mainly be children.  Plus the hourly paycheck that goes with it adds an extra sweetness to it.

I got the job if I want it.
