As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

From Questionable to Fantastic... Wednesday, May 18

...in continuation of yesterday's good and good news which actually turned out to be fabulous news if you recall, today not only did I for sure not lose my roommate but I gained another one and Balboa arrived in Canada!!!!

Let me explain the background story to the roommate situation...

It was already evening when you roommate, the Jamaican Beauty, got a message from her mom.  He brother had been I involved in a car crash. He had rolled his car three times, had to be air lifted and was listed as no in critical condition in the hospital.  No sooner had she got the word but she messaged me the news.  Today was suppose to be a good day, a day of wonderful news -- Balboa was coming to Canada and she'd be meeting him for the first time -- but instead it was one of terrible news.  I felt so bad for her, awful.

However.... God works in mysterious ways and no sooner had I arrived home but then I got the most fabulous of fabulous news -- he brother was okay.  And not only was he okay but he too will be on his way to Toronto soon enough.  You see, he's a young guy, living out west Canada, the brother of the Jamaican Beauty and indecisive about his life.  My roommate is convinced that this is a miracle, an act of God, and who am I to say any different.  "Things happen for a reason" she told me and we both agreed that perhaps this was exactly the wake up call he needed.  So, she's convinced her family that he's to join us out here in Toronto.  We have the extra space in the apartment that we can convert into another bedroom so it is definitely doable.

As for Balboa, I picked him up at the airport tonight.  Nothing really to write about it except for the fact that it's absolutely fabulous that he's here!!! He's safe and sound, super happy and loving his new place.  My roommate totally loves him too and jokes around about calling him "our child".  We had talked about making Balboa bilingual but already I've taught her a few commands in Korean and I think she's having fun saying those few Korean words.

Life is good.  It started off questionable this morning but ended on such a high note.
