As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Running in the Rain... Saturday, May 14

Rain or shine we train. Today it rained; today we trained.  I hate running in the rain -- wet shoes, wet socks, squishy feet slipping around in slippery shoes.  And what's worse than running in the rain then running in the rain with broken headphones.  My headphones have officially gone ghetto on me -- sometimes they work, other times they cut in and out. Thankfully it didn't rain too much and I had Coach Madman running with me and filling my ears with tips and stories so the lack of music wasn't bad at all.

Today was Coach Madman's birthday and we "celebrated" it via the addition of stair runs...great.  Running damn wooden steps that are already falling apart, in the rain, sounds like fun to me...sarcastically speaking that is.  We then returned to System to do some leg training with weights.  Am convinced my pain is his pleasure.  Happy birthday Coach Madman.
