As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

No Rest for the Wicked with Boxing

The rain may be beating down on us but that doesn't stop Coach Madman from beating up my legs with running and leg training today.
Jump for joy, the running part is over.  Now back to System for leg work with weights, to which I must note there will be absolutely no jumping for joy over because of it we won't even be able to walk let alone jump!!!
After totally destroying my legs with training, Coach Madman than bought me a double shot long espresso with coconut milk (my absolute favourite of favourites) and sent me home.
After passing out for a few hours, I then had to get dolled up for yet another boxing event.  This time it was a big pro show at the Hershey Centre, hosted by United Promotions.
I showed up with a bunch of familiar faces and we met up with more familiar faces.
I love it how I'm back in Canada and back seeing my old coach, Egerton.  He's awesome.
Platinum seat at table #14, pretty sweet if you ask me.  First table in from the ring.
Look at who escorted one of the fighters in... Batman!!!
I have to give it to United Promotions, they definitely know how to put on quite the impressive professional show.  Just look at how their fighters come in -- flashing lights, music, and whatnot.  That's pretty great.
A boxing show by United Promotions is exactly what a boxing show should be like.
And I was right there ringside, taking in all the action and the awesomeness of the show.
A few of the fights ended in early knock outs and the crowd absolutely loved it.
The main fight starred a boxer from Ajax, Brandon Cook.
It was definitely worthy of being the main event.
