As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

The Life of a Pro Athlete is a Quiet One

Sometimes I think it's a lonely life I lead, being a pro athlete.
While it seems like everyone under the sun is off living a regular life and working a regular job, I'm here by myself slaving away at training.
Today I headed out to do a run, Coach Perez's orders.
It was just me and the open path before me.
I came home to what felt like an empty apartment building and ate my meal.
Just me and my four-legged buddy Balboa.
In the evening I had sparring at a club in the west end of the city.
I met Coach Perez at The Shop and both he, his female friend and the American Kid headed out for sparring.
I love this shot; it looks so intense.  You can see me totally starring her down.
This is a pretty cool shot too.  It's the lead up shot of the one below it actually.
I had gone in for an upper cut, a rather wild one actually, but she dodged it by leaning far back.  Four rounds of this high-paced action continued.
