As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

It Should Have been a Typical Tuesday

This is how my day started and how I thought it'd continue -- work mixed with training sessions in between of more work...and more training.
In an attempt to collect my thoughts and organize them, I bought coloure post it notes.
Correction, some random dude bought them for me as a means of passing on his phone number.  Smooth move, yes, but will I call him, hell no.
Headed off to System Fitness for training like usual in the evening.
Except tonight I thought it funny to try to sneak shots of some of my friends training.
Here I am getting in a shot of Coach Madman working the heavy bag.
Snuck a pic of my girl Ginger Spice, stretching before I made her do "fun" cardio with me.
Went in for a picture of my buddy and his awesome shirt but ended up having to slip some punches and scored some hugs.  His shirt reads "Everyday I'm Mustling".
And then this happened... I found myself printing up lost dog posters.
Balboa was officially missing.
Captain Bowtie was most definitely the hero of this entire situation.
I texted him that Balboa had taken off and within the hour Captain Bowtie raced down from out of town on his motorcycle and helped me out.
Had to snap a picture of this.  This was taken from Captain Bowtie's office and what you're looking at, what appears to be a kind of runway, is actually College Street.  The picture definitely doesn't do it justice though.  The view was amazing.
