As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

The Sweet Madness of Another Monday

Nothing starts a morning off right like my little Balboa Button on my lap, an oatmeal pancake to fuel my day, a large coffee to get me a caffeine fix, and a screen full of fan mail to respond to.  Happy Monday morning everyone!!!
Well, it wasn't such a happy Monday morning for these guys -- a total of 6 cruisers came out to what God only knows happened at the apartment down the path from mine.
But it was a happy Monday morning for these guys.
Discovered an amazing community centre by my house!!! Ya Cabbagetown!
Returned to team training tonight at Clancy's and turned my happy Monday morning into a fabulous Monday night of hard training and catching up.
Felt so good to be back.
Everyone at Clancy's has always shown me such encouragement and so it was no real surprise that I left feeling rejuvenated... exhausted but rejuvenated.
