As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Getting an Early Start on Kicking My Own Butt Today

It was an overcast morning but a promise is a promise.
I've made a commitment to myself to do early morning training and I've made a commitment to whomever from Team Blue that I'd be there to push them through the training.
Only our team manager and I showed up.  It gave us the chance to catch each other up to speed with what we think about our team -- what we need to work on, ideas for future plans, etc.
This was an optional training session for those on Team Blue but nonetheless we gave our fighters a hard time for being a no show.  I think us leading the team want this more than them and that's our issue.  I want to see that they really want this, I mean REALLY want this.
After our morning training, we parted ways and I headed back home.
That's when I met this dog in this pic.  I snapped this picture before I actually met him.
His name is Shadow and he's a "gently used" dog, aka a rescue.  Got into quite the discussion about health and wellness with his owner and we both agreed that yes, health IS wealth.
