I saw Santa today. I waited in line with a handful of kids and their accompanied parents and waited patiently for my turn to come when I'd be told by his assistants to go sit with Santa. When that time came, I didn't hesitate to sit on the arm rest of Santa's chair and put my arm around him.
He never asked me my name.
He never asked me what I wanted for Christmas.
He smiled at me.
I hugged him and then when I got up to leave I turned around and yelled out "I love you Santa" and he wished me a Merry Christmas.
Maybe Santa knows I don't need anything.
Maybe he knows everything I need I possess inside of me. I have a dream, I have determination, I have desire and I've got the intelligence to put those three together to figure things out and move forward.
Thank you Santa. I've got this.
