As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

The Road to my Heart... Wednesday, January 4

Food is the way to my heart, it's no secret.

I had a guy at the gym once approach me and most randomly give me a package of food because even he had tapped into the fact that food was the way to get to me.

Tonight I was treated to a special home cooked meal but what made it so extra special was the fact that it was a home cooked Filipino meal and it was cooked at my home.

Wow.... am feeling pretty spoiled right about now.

Food coma kicked in and then I realized I then had to get up and go train.

I think I ate my body weight in chicken and seasoned-to-perfection cauliflower.

Bouncing around in the gym while I threw my combos and pounded away at that heavy bag during training was a bit rough and I felt a bit heavier and weighed down because of my meal.

...but did I care?!  At first yes but then no.

Food is fuel and that was some high end, top of the line fuel, let me tell you that!!!

If tonight's meal was any indication of what I'll be eating while in the Philippines... dang.  I just might never come back at this rate!
