As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Full Day of Sweating

Started my day off sweaty -- breaking in my new handwraps I got as a gift last night.
After boxing, I rushed home to eat, shower and then raced off to yet another day of location hunting.
Got somewhat lost and ran into a side of Makati I never knew existed.  It felt more "real", if you know what I mean, and I for one liked it.  There were street food vendors galore!!!
Location #1 of 2 looked at today.
I wasn't particularly interested in it until I realized it had central air conditioning.
I walked in and it was like a freezer, wow.  Definitely a perk.
Location #2 of 2 was a smaller building that was super narrow.
I originally had high hopes for this space and I liked it better than the first location looked at today but I can't foresee my clientele trekking through this particular neighbourhood.
I had started my day off sweaty, had spent it sweaty and definitely ended it sweaty.
Empowered boot camp in the park.
