As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Leave Boxing to the Boxers... Sunday, August 27

The day had finally arrived -- the day of the Mayweather McGregor fight.

It was a much anticipated fight day, a day I'm sure pretty much half the world stopped to notice, and because of all the hype surrounding it I was just so happy it was finally here.

I went to the market early and showed up at Belle & Dragon early... 9am on the dot.

I was one of the first there, I had arrived with Skittles, but shortly after the flow of people started and soon the bar was completely packed.  Some of the people I had briefly met the other day at Primal Ape Crossfit arrived and so they joined us at the bar.  They were McGregor fans, I was obviously a Mayweather fan.  Turns out one of their buddies was also a Mayweather fan, cool.  I think we were the only Mayweather fans at the bar which was fine by me because I was probably the only pro boxer and he was the biggest dude there.  Together we were Team Mayweather.

Am sure you saw the fight so I won't go into it.  Everyone has their own opinion of it and I'm no different.  Just shocked, like a billion zillion other people, that it went for as long as it did -- 10 rounds.  Mayweather treated it like it was just a sparring practice though so he gave a good show but it wasn't up to par with how he usually fights... like how he fights in a REAL fight.

But anyways...

Now that the Mayweather McGregor fight is over, now us boxers can go back to the ring and MMA fighters can go back to their cage.  And now we can focus on the next fight, a REAL fight -- Canelo vs Golovkin, September 16th.
