As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Weekends Are Always Go, Go, Go

Kicked off my weekend with the Empowered sisters.  Saturday morning boot camp in the park.
Then it was off to pick up a certain someone at Primal Ape, the crossfit gym in the village here.
I had a special family function to attend tonight so I had to get all dolled up.
It didn't happen unless there's a picture, right?! Hahaha...
The place of the event was gorgeous -- a cemmetary that looked more like a wedding location.
And the church were the service and dinner was held, wow.
My camera clearly didn't capture even a fraction of it's beauty.
During the dinner, the choir performed.
They were a group of kids but their voices were well beyond their years.  They sounded so great.
There was also a small band playing.
As for the dinner itself, super delish.
I ended up getting a couple more plates of this -- chicken and fish.
Despite the sad occassion as to why the event, it was such a nice evening.
It ended with me sitting there watching the husband dance with his sister (the lady in the red shirt) and wishing my father was celebrating my mother's life like this.
