As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Smiling and Sweating it Out

Arrived at boxing today and told Coach Bogs he had to say congrats to me.  He didn't understand why but he responded with an over-the-top congratulations and I laughed.
I laughed and looked Asian... wow, that moment when you see what so many other people see, that was that moment right there... hahaha.
Lots of smiles and giggles at the boxing club is, though I must admit there always is.  It's ironic that a place that is all about punching and pushing yourself to the limit is so full of laughter and positive vibes.  I caught this picture of Coach Jun Jun in pure bliss as he finished off a round of padwork with Coach Bogs.  He turned and just looked so completely and honestly happy.
Me on the other hand, I never really look happy when working the pads.  Padwork is brutal but it's one of those things that is so good it's bad, so bad it's good.  I love padwork.
Couple goals 101 right here -- a boyfriend squatting his girlfriend.
I caught glimpse of this at my condo gym tonight and just had to capture it.  I was impressed.  The boyfriend must have done at least 15-20 solid squats with his girlfriend on his back.
