As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Missing My Friends... Sunday, July 29

I miss going to church and I miss coffee time with friends -- two major things in my life that use to make me feel like I actually had a life outside of business and boxing.

My birthday is coming up, in about a week, and next Saturday we'll be celebrating it.  Skittles asked me who'd like to invite but my answer consists of friends back in Canada.  I miss them so much.

I have person here, a Filipina, that I'd consider the closest thing to a friend in that I talk to every day and we don't know each other via each other's business.   I've yet to actually meet her though.  She's kind of like a penpal but via Instagram and now we're friends on Facebook.  We live across the street from each other and go to a lot of the same places for our businesses.  She and I are both frequent customers at the two print shops in Market Market and it's funny because we've done some Instagram stories where we're at such print shops and doing shout-outs to each other.

I wish Captain BowTie was here or my childhood gal pal D.  I'd love to have J-Dog here or MaG.  I also wish my Rev was here, too.  Life for me would be totally different if those friends were here.
