As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Boxing with Business on the Mind

I'm switching food delivery companies so this week no food has been coming for me.  It's been just me cooking for me, if you'd even call what I'm doing "cooking".  This was my breakfast.  Even the pups were confused.
Despite being all smiles, I arrived at boxing feeling like I just had the crap beaten out of me.
Coach Marcelo sensed it so he tried hard to readjust my focus and get me laughing.
I must admit though, I was struggling to stay focused on my training because my mind was elsewhere.
I have to give it to them though, to Coach Marcelo and my buddies at the boxing club.  They always have such positive vibes and I do feel supported here, not only with my boxing but also with my business.
