Kerry Sports to the rescue, seriously.
With tomorrow being my weigh-in day, I still had mad weight to cut.
Today, before boxing, I weighed in at 116lb.s.
After boxing, I weighed in at 114lbs.
Went to Kerry Sports, and did 7 rounds of the following:
8mins in the sauna or steam room
3mins in the jacuzzi
3mins drying off... aka, a mental and physical break from the pure exhaustion
After about the 4th round, honestly, my body was struggling to sweat and I mentally was really breaking down. To say it was rough would be the understatement of the year.
I left Kerry Sports weighing in at 110.8lbs.
Tomorrow, I'm expecting to weigh-in at 107lbs but I've been told there's a 1lb allowance.
Good, thank God, because just yesterday I was told the scale at Team Insider is off by 2lbs so that means while I thought I was doing great, I really was only doing good. It was quite upsetting to get this news via a text on social media and when I confronted them at Team Insider, they acknowledged it as if it was it common knowledge. It was totally new to me though.
In other news, I convinced the owner of Team Insider to let Coach Marcelo to come with me to my fight so that's a huge relief. My corner coach at the fight is Coach Kulba because legally Coach Marcelo isn't allowed to stand in my corner. However, as much as I tried to get in to do padwork with Coach Kulba, the conflict in schedules, the sudden changes in plans, etc., etc.,... it just didn't happen. The card I played to score Coach Marcelo was my uniform. I told him that if he let Coach Marcelo come with me, I'd put the Team Insider logo on my uniform. So that's exactly what I'm doing. I get Coach Marcelo and he gets the front of my top.
