As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

I've been up since 6:30am, got home around 4:40pm, it was a long day.

I was initially scheduled to go to the gym for functional training at 8:30pm but by the time 6pm rolled around, it's as if I had hit the wall.  My body was exhausted and my mind was spent.  I laid down on the couch to read my book but being cozy on the couch and having the two little four-legged boys lay beside me, it all proved to be too distracting and too hard for me to not pass out.

Viola the beauty of audio books!!!

I stayed on the couch, just sat up a bit, and then turned on my bluetooth speaker.

Got in a good solid hour and a half of "reading" tonight, nice.

One of my new years resolutions this year was to read at least one book a month and while I didn't technically read all of this first book I had started, I am close to finishing it.  I remember not so long ago, my pre-Angkas days, when I used to walk to boxing in Poblacion from BGC.  I listened to audio books and ended up just blazing through at least one book every week while walking to boxing and to coaching.  My days of walking are over (thank you Angkas) but so are my days of preoccupying my time with audio books.  Now I listen to them after boxing, in that "down time" space when before I used to occupy it with a brief cat nap with my pups.
