As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Giving Myself a Break... Monday, January 21

With a morning client canceled and another on route home to the Philippines, I decided to not go to boxing today and actually give myself a day off.

Yup, it's true.

I've been so overwhelmed lately with all that I'm juggling and then with this past weekend and coaching all the Lil' Sistas, I really needed a break.

No boxing and no coaching but yes functional training and preparing for tomorrow's coaching.

This week I have another Vlog to post, a whack of cash to drop on my next order of boxing gear for Empowered Clubhouse, and I have to finish and hand in my proposal for my Snail Mail idea for the Lil' Sistas, confirm next month's Lil' Sista training dates for both Antipolo and BGC, plus get some stuff promo stuff printed for Empowered.

Always work, work, work... but not today.  Well, not as much today.

Today I tried to do something that I've been trying to do for awhile... READ!!!

I have a stack of entrepreneurial and sports psychology books that I've been collecting and wanting to get through.  One of my new years resolutions was to read one book a month.  I've got about 10 days left to this month and I'm only on page 12 of 240-some pages of my first book.  Yikes.

Ended the day on page 81, nice!
