As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

More Boxing with the Lil' Sistas

Teaching 23 Lil' Sistas how to properly wrap their hands wasn't easy but it was oddly enough fun and super entertaining to see how they interpreted my instructions.
It took about 30 minutes to teach them and even then I ended up redoing a bunch of them
but they looked so fierce and so ready to throw punches once all was said and done.
And then finally we started with some light stretching and some agility work foot drills.
I made them do this circuit where I stood as one of the circuit stations and they had to punch out 10 punches on the target pad.  Let me tell you, some of these Lil' Sistas are little but there was definitely nothing little about the power behind their punches!
2 days, 2 Lil' Pow Boxing Classes, 2 different cities, 65 Lil' Sistas coached in total,
and that makes me 1 super happy coach.  Love, love, LOVE coaching the Lil' Sistas.
Breaking out the new gear for these Lil' Sistas was super fun and I don't know who had more fun, them or me, but after about 2 hours of training with them, we all were exhausted.
One more "slayyyyyyyy" with the Lil' Sistas while I wait for my ride?! But of course!
