As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Leg Day with Limited Gear... Saturday, January 26

With a gym infested with gym-goers, most of which I'm assuming are "New Years Resolutioners", I really had no choice but get creative with my workout and selective with not only what I'd be using but where I'd be using it.

Machine were a no go.  I try to stay around from the machines anyways.

First floor functional training space was a no go, too.

My only real options were either the triathlon area by the pool or the Spartan area; both on the second floor.  I picked the Spartan area.  Thankfully there were some abandoned weights in the corner... and by "abandoned" I mean left there by gym-goers who were too lazy or too privileged-feeling to clean up after themselves.

Gym pet peeve 101.

I took hostage of a 20kg kettlebell and a tire.

Different leg exercises you can do with just a kettlebell and a tire:
1.  Tire jump squats
2.  Step ups
3.  Tire flips
4.  Tire jumps
5.  Bulgarian split squats
6.  Tire jump thrus
7.  Narrow squats
8.  Toe touches
