As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Fully Fabulous Day

I had three fighters to train today with this being the location of the second fighter.
I love these nontraditional spaces but must admit I'm super eager to set up my clubhouse.
Just recently I joined a Facebook womens-only group and today they had a meeting so I attended.
It was awesome to meet some positive women and they're so incredibly supportive of each other.
Likewise, it was awesome to treat myself out to a good, hearty and overly healthy meal.
I love my meals from the Six Pack Chef but it is nice to eat out every once in awhile.
Tomorrow there's a big boxing tournament going on in Quezon City so today my boxing club hosted the weigh-ins for all the fighters.  It was great to have one of the coaches and some of the fighters from my previous boxing club here in the Philippines stop by the club.  I do miss Elite Boxing in Makati.
And then this particular fighter came walking in.  He's Manny Pacquiao's eldest son, Jimeul, and tomorrow he's fighter.  Talk about being under the pressure; his dad is like a god here in the boxing community.
