As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Coffee Break?! Hell Yeah... Wednesday, April 3

By the time 7pm came around, I was completely exhausted and running on total brain drain.  I had coaching I had to be up at 6:30am for, my last fighter trained with me till 6:30pm, and I also had an intense 2.5hr session of boxing today with Coach Marcelo.  I arrived home right around 7pm and just crashed on the bed, totally ignoring the two little four-legged boys licking my face and jumping all over me.

"Do you want to go for a coffee date -- 8pm?"  I asked Skittles.

"Sure.... let's make it 8:30pm", he replied.

A coffee date, my new go-to for stopping e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g and taking a mental break from work.

My go-to is the new Tim Horton's coffee shop in Forbes Town.  I splurge and treat myself to a medium double-double even though I know it's so much sugar.  I only do this 2 times a week so I vouch I'm good for the sugar, no problem.

Returned home around 9:20pm and resumed working till about 1am.

Oh gosh, I have to be up tomorrow at 6:30am.

Tomorrow -- 4 fighters to coach, weight training, rugby and lots of business calls to make.
