As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Building Continues... Sunday, May 26

Officially launched my Soft Opening Promo -- sign up for 2 months and get the first month at 50% off.  That's a pretty damn good deal if you ask me but maybe I'm biased.

One week till I start accepting clients to train at Empowered which means the renovations have to get done asap, equipment better be delivered and installed, and I have to get my schedule in order with my current clients, Lil' Sistas and of course my own training.

So far my deliveries have been arriving safe and sound.  Only had 2 problems with equipment bought online -- my kettlebells and a workout bench.  Two of the kettlebells don't actually sit flat on the floor and some of the numbers are yellowish when they should be yellow.  I think the sun discoloured them.  As for the bench, it was advertised as white and black.  It arrived yesterday orange and grey.  It was a total what-the-fudge moment where I could have spat fire, seriously.  My gym has bamboo wood floor and the colour scheme is white, black and silver/chrome.  I specifically bought items that fit this colour scheme and what I don't want are random colours, especially if they're bright.

The orange and grey bench, it definitely has to go.

Sending it back means also sending back the bosu ball that came with it and I purposely bought that Bosu ball because it was a combo deal.  I've already waited a few weeks for it all to arrive.  This is ridiculous.

There's still a million zillion things to do and having to tell people like suppliers to do their job properly isn't what I have time for right now.  It's incredibly frustrating.  I'm trying so hard to do my job and do my job at the best of my knowledge but some people, I don't know.  I don't know how they can take their pay check with an honest heart.  I don't even get a pay check right now.  All my money goes into building Empowered.

This week's mission:  find a repair person that isn't going to give me "white girl prices".
