As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Possible Fight News... Wednesday, May 15

True fact: the average pay for a pro boxer fighting in the Philippines is 1,000Php ($25Cdn) a round. ...and then a cut of that to our coach(es), of course.

Most fighters here don't just fight, we can't, it's not sustainable. We fight to fight and then fight to live. I'm in the same boat. I run my own company (Empowered Clubhouse), so I juggle the demands of my training with the demands of running my own business, like coaching my fighters. That's my hustle, my fight to fight

This is where sponsorships from companies are such a blessing. I'm extremely blessed to be sponsored by Klean Athlete, a supplement company that takes honest care of my nutritional help via a full range of high level supplements. I rely on them to sustain my active life as a pro athlete and boxing coach.  I am also sponsored by the Six Pack Chef, a food delivery service that brings me my daily meals every day.
Every day I am extremely grateful and blessed for them.

Sponsors are a huge help which that in itself is such an understatement.

I've been approached about two fights -- June 15th in the Philippines, July 12th in Saudi Arabia.

I can't do both.  There's less than a month in between them and the one in Saudi Arabia is a tournament, with the first bout being a four-rounder.
