As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Today's Heroes... Wednesday, May 8

I'm convinced the workers at At Home, the massive department store at the mall, are my new bff's.  I'm joking but not really.  I've gone there three days in a row now with last night me purchasing that white metal shelf unit and today me returning there to ask if they can come make it for me.

Mission accomplished -- got them to come to my house to make the shelf!

I asked them how much they'd charge for building my shelf unit and they said it was up to me so I made an offer but said it came with an exception.  The exception being they had to figure out a way to get the massive rug that I just bought from their store to my home.

"No problem", they said.  Thirty minutes later they showed up on a scooter with that rug standing vertically between the two workers.  In less than thirty minutes they had that shelf unit made and it looked great.  Honestly, they were the sweetest workers e-v-e-r, using their lunch hour to come to my house and help me out as such.  Much appreciated.
