As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Note the big guy in blue, that's Black Skinny, and the one all in black is the Heavy Hitter.

Black Skinny and I are the only two remaining members from the original UP team, so training with him is always awesome. Lots of jokes tonight at training, I've got the swollen right eye, Black Skinny has the ripped shirt and the Heavy Hitter has the tied laces to prove it. Sounds like rough play?! Well, what do you expect, after all we ARE boxers.

Hey Amy,
Haven't commented in a while. Been out of touch but I'm glad to see you still enjoy boxing. Me too. Entered a round robin type thing here but it was all amateur and sponsered. Of all things when they picked our opponents I got Shauna in the first match. It went to I guess you would call it a TKO in the second.
I hope you are doing well and I like that picture of you at the gym. Keep it up. Any matches for you coming up?

Hey Beth!!!
Hey girl... so glad to hear from you!!! Congrats on stirring up the nerves to jump into that tournament. I thought it was pretty ironic though that you got your sparring partner as an opponent. Got to give it to you, that's extra hard. Not only is she your sparring partner but she totally knows your strengths and weaknesses in the ring. None the less, I'm sure it was an awesome experience so congrats!!!
As for me, no matches scheduled yet. Now that Snickers and I are trying to save up money for our move to Canada, I'm working a lot. Definitely still getting my training in though but sometimes it means getting into the ring at 5am or 11pm when its only me training.
