As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Hi Amy,
I love these pictures of Mi Nam. He is such a cutie and I know you love him. I hope he is feeling better too. Poor baby. I’m glad you still are training and have the interest in boxing and keeping fit. I’m glad also that you and Snickers are doing well and saving for your move.
You’re right that it was “extra hard” getting my sparring partner Shauna in that tournament. I wanted to see how I would do against one of the other girls first. I was surprised I was a little nervous boxing her and just tried to think it was a sparring session against her. She’s so fast and I can never figure her out before she does me. She really worked the combinations to the head and then body and vice versa. She’ll always exploit your weaknesses for sure. She wound up winning the whole round robin tournament too Amy so it isn’t just me. Heh heh. Her arms are strong and she does some work with weights and may put up a flex video. You should do another one of those if you ever get the chance because I’m always impressed at how fit you are. I need to do more fitness for sure.
Let me know how you are Amy and it’s good to hear from you.
