Sometimes I think it's funny I'm living here in Korea.
I remember when I first arrived. I met this girl who noted to me that she's been living in Korea for 5 years, to which I laughed and responded with "Why?!". Yet here I am, past 5 years now and well into my sixth year.
After I broke up with The Ex, back in 2006, I swore that I'd return to Canada, but then I scored a sweet university position so I thought I'd give it a year. Then I sore a few years ago that I'd be returning again, but by then I was fully into my boxing; it consumed my time, effort and thoughts. And then via my boxing I met Snickers, got married and the rest is well, not history but is the present day situation.
Sometimes I wonder if I knew then what I now know would I have done things differently... possibly but oh where to start. For starters, I never would have died my hair black... hahaha. Boy was that like going to hell and back... hahaha. Seriously though, I'm sure I would consider the notion but when you consider everything is connect and one thing leads to another, I doubt I'd be in the same situation today if that were the case.
So it got me thinking, what am I doing today to make a better tomorrow for myself... for Snickers, for my family?! Everything I do today builds my tomorrow.
Ahhh... I sense this is going to dive too deep for a Monday... hahaha. Catch ya later.
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Is it really only Monday?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.
-- Maria Robinson
As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

When is Snickers' next match, since June 15th was your "due date"?
